There are so many times a woman will say "I wish I was a guy!" in her lifetime. It's a natural response to wish for something you cannot have or wish for something different in general. Personally, there are a few things that would be done differently if I were a boy. Plenty of artists have done songs, shows, paintings, and other such things to emphasize the appeal of the ease of being the opposite gender. Listen to some music and think of all the things you would do differently as the opposite gender, and what would be the results.
Dating: Totally different for each gender and each generation. In this current generation, it can be said that there are four different types of guys and five types of girls. This changes the dating world completely, especially if you think you would be the complete opposite if you were the other gender. For males there are the Alphas, Betas, Gammas, and Omegas to describe the personalities and behaviors in the dating world. Alphas and Betas are at the top with a lot of game and always looking for a reason to show off and improve. Gammas and Omegas are seen as social outcasts and usually don't have a lot of luck with women, and the average guy is actually a Delta.
When it comes to girls, there are five different types of girls in the dating world. There are the girly-girls, or the fashionistas: the ones who are always ready to flirt or meet someone new. The trendy-hipsters are just as flirty but a bit more on the modest or laid back: not girly, but definitely fashionable and usually a little more covered up. Tomboys can be very interested in boys or not care at all, but they have the most comfortable style and are extremely easy to talk to. Then there are the partiers (or the crazies). These are the women you do not take home to meet your mother. The girl everyone dreads seeing at a party, because the longer she's around the more obnoxious she becomes, and the longer she's out the less clothes she has on. The fairy-godmothers, these are the girls who have lives but will still drop everything to help out their friends in or out of a relationship. These are the girls who don't really date or sometimes forget about their relationship, but somehow these girls know every thing there is to know about a relationship.
Personally, I believe that in the dating world each person may be placed in a category, but can switch to a different one over time. Most would say that in the female dating group I would be put into the trendy-hipster category. Now, if I was a boy would I be the same and most likely a delta? Or become the opposite and aim to be an Alpha or Sigma? Does it matter? It does, in the sense that, we think of how our behavior would be different if we were the opposite gender. Saying who you would be as the opposite gender actually just says what you are looking for in any relationship.
I like to spoil people, friends or significant others, it doesn't matter. Making someone smile is extremely important. I would like to believe that I would be the guy who would send adorable text messages every morning, and show up with little presents and cute poems. I don't know, and neither does anyone else. In reality we are only the people that others see and treat us as. A gender doesn't define the actions of a person, it is society that has decided what is appropriate for a person to do or not to do in a relationship.
