Relationship Status: In a Serious Relationship with Bradley University
Our relationship could be traced all the way back to 2012 when I came to visit Bradley for the first time. And Bradley met my parents on that very first day. It's been that serious ever since.
Love at first sight is a real thing, and trust me, I've experienced it. As soon as I saw Westlake, I was in love. The lush green quads, the beautiful stone buildings, and the fact that we called ourselves the "Braves" made me fall deeper.
We moved in together Fall 2013 and, like any normal couple, we had our differences. Bradley liked to keep the thermostat at weird temperatures and it was either freezing cold or insanely hot, but we worked it out. I am a picky eater, and sometimes Bradley didn't really understand what I wanted or needed to eat that day. Bradley doesn't handle torrential downpours very well and often there was water EVERYWHERE.
My sophomore year I moved into my sorority house and I really feel like it strengthened our relationship. We saw each other on occasion whereas the year before we were together 24/7. I've lived in an off-campus house the last 2 years and I can honestly say that Bradley and I are better than ever.
Bradley University has helped me through the tough times, and also helped me celebrate the happy times. Graduating a 5 or 6 year program in only 4 years has been one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life, and I owe it all to Bradley. That being said, when graduation comes around next May, I will not consider our relationship over.
Bradley, it's been a great run. You've given me 4 of the greatest years of my life, and I am forever grateful for that. Even though there's nothing I can really do to express how much you mean to me, I hope this sums it up.
Thank you for providing me the chance to join a sisterhood that has changed my life for the better.
Thank you for giving me roommates who will one day be my bridesmaids.
Thank you for allowing me to travel the world while still receiving a college education.
Thank you for making my dreams a reality.
Thank you for being a second home and a place I look forward to coming back to.
Not four years, but for life.
I love you Bradley University. Thanks for a great 4 years.
p.s. HAPPY 200th BIRTHDAY LYDIA MOSS BRADLEY!
