Vines are perhaps the most iconic videos to ever grace my millennial soul. The six-second videos from the deceased Vine app left a huge mark on my heart and I’m sure others can relate. Vines were a way for people to create short creative and or hilarious content, may it have been spontaneous or premeditated.
The videos are full of the utmost quotable material (I tell people “Welcome to Chili’s about four times a day). Though Vine isn’t around anymore, that doesn’t mean we can’t still bask in the ambiance of the videos! Vines still get posted on Twitter and YouTube, and every time I view one I feel like I can keep on keeping on. Here are five ICONIC vines to get you through the week! Thank me later.
1. "I Nurture My Skin"
No one really knows where this vine came from but we're not asking any questions. This vine showcases notorious basketball player Shaq in an endorsement for Goldbonds lotion The vine is the definition of the good kind of crazy.
2. "If Your Name Is Junior"
What's not to LOVE about this vine? An adorably sassy kid + a catchy song = one of the quality vines ever made.
3. "Not Even Worried About It"
This vine taught me a lot from self-defense to generally just being a boss at life. Three words my friends. Watch. And. Learn.
4. "Mr. Postman"
WARNING! There is perhaps some of the best vocals in the history of vocals in the vine ahead. You've been warned.
5. "Take On Me"
It's incredibly safe to say that I saved the best for last. This vine is pure gold and explaining it would just ruin it, so, enjoy.
I will never stop being obsessed with Vines. The way a good vine can uplift my whole entire soul is amazing! I could be in the worst of moods and after viewing one vine or 1,000, I honestly feel so much happier. Sadly, Vine isn’t around anymore and I’m not going to lie, it’s been a hard pill to swallow. But, I guess, all good things must come to an end. We’ll just have to keep vine alive in our minds. “Lebron James” forever and always.
