I'm Totally Stressing Out About My Best Life
Sara Radabaugh

Be so happy that pain melts off of your brittle shoulders. Never did I think it was possible to deeply love where you are at in life and be just as overwhelmed at the same time. Stress pounds daily in my head, reminding me that I am drowning in a giant pool of negativity. I'm exhausted and feel like I got hit by a big, yellow bus every single freaking morning that I roll out of my cozy bed. Somehow, some way, I end up flipping my long day upside down to an alternate world for the better. I feel like I am a whirlwind of crazy, but the good kind of crazy. It's the kind of crazy that makes you laugh until you can't breathe while tears are streaming down your face. It's the fun crazy that you want to share with this already insane world.

Craziness comes in all forms. My type of crazy makes me stress out about my best life. For once, I am not tightly tied down to people's irrelevant and annoying opinions. To be honest, I simply don't care what comes streaming out of your mouth anymore. It's the most freeing sensation to do what I want to do every single day.

Okay, by now you're probably wondering what does my best life look life. Let me tell you a not-so-juicy secret, it doesn't look like anything. It's like staring at a blank wall. It is nothing tangible that you can see. Rather, it is something that's on the inside. Inside I am screaming for joy.

Joy resonates from the inward beauty that is fueling my soul. My soul is hungry for something more. Often times it is so much easier to fill a void with something materialistic. Let's be real if it's temporary, then don't pour yourself into it. Joy is the essence of contentment. It means falling in love where you are at. I think that is why it is so easy for me to embrace my stressful life. Things aren't falling apart, they are falling into place. Life is a puzzle and I'm done scrambling around to find the different pieces.

What I am trying to say here is to piece everything together at your own pace. Slow and steady wins the race! Stop trying to race to the next phase of life. Life is one of the most beautiful and suffocating things at the same time. Take the stress and embrace it. It's okay to be happy with your life failures. It doesn't make you a bad person. In fact, it's going to show the world your unique strength.

My strength is nothing short of easy. Daily, I have to decide to be grateful and go on with this long life. Living in a crazy world can be exhilarating and I want you to join me on this bumpy ride. Negative energy is real and it's hovering over you right now. What are you going to do about it? Grab life, laugh a little extra today and smile big. That's what you are going to do! Stressing out about your life can be a big fat piece of cake. Make people wonder what you got going on in that mind of yours and enjoy your best life yet.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
