Later this week, a hurricane that is suppose to be one of worse to hit the panhandle of Florida in recent years. It came on quickly and really no one knew that it was even coming until days before.

There were days to prepare, possibly hours for some in the path. But hey, we're floridans we are bred for this stuff. We know how to prepare and how to prepare fast for these storms. So naturally we react the only way that we know, we go after it with humor. In this case, "Office" humor is the best.

Hurricane Michael and Michael Scott are really somewhat close to the same. The hurricane quickly approached and has been kind of unpredictable, the same as Michael Scott.

"Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me."

Everyone is either excited because school is canceled or they are afraid because it is a hurricane after all.

"I don't hate  it. I just don't like it at all and its terrible"

Florida at this hurricane

"I'm not superstitious but I am a little stitious"

Again everyone who the hurricane is heading towards

"No. God. No. Please. Noooooooo"

If we say no enough, the hurricane will leave right?

"And I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do"

Everyone trying to plan for a major hurricane in 48 hours

"I hate so much about the things that you choose to be"

"I..Declare...Bankruptcy!"

The panhandle of Florida after the hurricane

"I would not miss it for the world. But if something else comes up, I would definitely not go"

"Its wonderful to be the center of attention"

Hurricane Michael right now

" I hate looking at your face. I want to smash it"

"I've got to make sure that YouTube comes down to tape this"

Floridans during hurricane Michael

"Fifteen bottles of vodka..yeah that should do it"

All those people that are throwing hurricane parties because nothing says Florida more than a hurricane party

"I understand nothing"

The college students trying to prepare for the hurricane and figure out if they should go home or not

"Fool me once, strike one, but  fool me twice...strike three"

Florida with all the hurricane warnings

"I have got big balls"

Pretty much every floridan right now

"Well just tell him to call me ASAP, as soon as possible"

"I don't know, man"

'Everybody stay calm. Everybody stay calm"

Everyone after the weather channel says that it is a major hurricane

'We are screwed"

"Well this is going to hurt like a mother****er

The entire panhandle of Florida right now

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
