The genuine lift others up rather than compare themselves to others. I think we all forget about the beauty of our own individuality; in fact, it's hard to describe others positively if we don't see ourselves in that same light. You hear about all of these positive blogs and you watch celebrities claim body positivity, but what good is it if we don't apply that ourselves. There is something motivating about listening to our favorite actress inspire us to be proud of who we are, but there's something even more powerful when we are able to set our mind to something. Discovering that mindset, however, is the hard part.

Living in a world where our doubts have the ability to control our thoughts is hard. On these days, it's hard to believe in ourselves with just self motivation, but it isn't impossible. There's something so special about personal will. Whether it's hitting a fitness goal or simply managing your time so well that you're getting more than 5 hours of sleep: that's inspiring. A goal no matter how big or small requires dedication and passion. To describe someone who is able to commit to what their mind is set on is beautiful. This person should be applauded for persistence and should be characterized as confident. Confidence isn't something that's bought, it's something that shines through. Once you recognize that quality in people, there really is nothing more motivating than that. To be surrounded by others who are confident with themselves is captivating.

On the days when you feel like the whole world is against you: the days where the whole world falls apart slowly in front of you and it's hard to hold onto the pieces are the days that show personal strength. The person who is feeling a bit off their game lately isn't to be described as negative, but is someone who should be described as fearless. Fearless because they can handle these days without giving up. The mountains and struggles in front of them are merely obstacles that are shaping them into someone who they wish their younger self had known. It's seen in the eyes and when someone wants something as badly as the fearless, there isn't anyone or anything that can stop them and that's awe-inspiring.

To the one who is overwhelmed with school, work, etc. To the one who is always on the run and never seems to catch a break. These individuals should be characterized as motivated, passionate, and determined. These are the people who strive to give their best everyday when no one is watching. These are the ones who go the extra mile, especially on the days it isn't crowded. They are all of us. We become who we want to be by having our good days and our bad days. From feeling upset on a Monday to being lifted up by the ones who care for us the most on a Thursday, we are shaped by our inspirations and aspirations. Only by having our off days and getting through the days when even coffee can't seem to keep us awake can we realize how much we should applaud ourselves for.

To be determined, passionate, endearing, fearless, captivating, and confident.. that is how we should describe individuals. But, more importantly, this is how we should describe ourselves.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
