It could be in a moment, in an hour, a day, or even a whole year. At some point in your life you will have some kind of set back and more than likely you will have more than one. They are not the most pleasant things in life but honestly you need them every once in a while to figure out what your priorities are and how you can overcome something that wants so badly for you to fail. There is a lot of ways that you can deal with these set back. You could cry and moan about how it is trying to ruin your life or you could step up and move on. Recently, I had a giant set back that affected a very important aspect of my life. My first response was to take a breath and evaluate how I could handle it. Yes, I felt bad for myself for a few minutes. I think everyone needs a moment to recuperate and look at their options but after a few moments I realized that nothing I was doing was benefiting me in the long run. I then decided to take action. I decided I needed to get done everything that could help me come back from my set back. I needed to make sure that every decision I made in my life would somehow positively affect me in the long run. I also had to make sure that I stayed positive through my steps to further me from my set back. This is the problem with a lot of our society today. A lot of people don’t realize that every decision counts, it’s not a matter of when these decisions will affect you but how they affect you. So, the main points,
1. Every decision counts.
2. Make sure you don’t pity yourself.
3. Step up and move on
4. Figure out your goals and objectives on how to come back from your set back.
5. Make sure whatever you do makes you happy.
The last one is very important. Being happy is the one thing that will greatly improve yourself from your set back. If what your doing doesn’t make you happy then ultimately you shouldn’t be doing it.
