The biggest thing that I say when it come to being healthy and dieting is that "It is the small things." It is about creating a more energized and fulfilling lifestyle by changing habits and the foods that you eat.
1. Be more active.
Nobody said that you need to run five miles every day to be active just going out for a 30 minute walk is great.
2. Change junk food for whole food items.
Fruit, veggies, nuts, etc. they are tasty and full of nutrients. Fruit is one of the best ways to curb your sweet tooth cravings too. Be mindful about every bite you are putting in your mouth.
3. Moderation is key. Enjoy life!
Yes, you can have that piece of carrot cake or milk shake, but savor it!
4. Change your mindset.
I've been told that you are either in or you are out when it comes to eating healthy and dieting. It is about changing bad habits.
5. Don't give up.
The worst thing you could do is quit because it will pay off in the future. What is is success without failure?
It is important to take everything slow. Just change one thing at a time. The little achievements all add up to one large achievement. By changing what I eat and staying active it has helped boost my self-confidence, and I bet it will do the same for you!
