1. Actually don’t go to class if you’re sick
Even though you’re currently running a 100 degree fever and it feels like fire ants are crawling around in your throat, I know it feels like you absolutely cannot miss that history discussion. However, for the greater good of society, avoid other humans. The last thing you want is to be patient zero in a brutal flu epidemic working its way through your friend group.
2. Drink ridiculous amounts of water
Make your water bottle your best friend and keep it on you at all times. Aim to drink approximately 9 cups (2.2 liters) of water a day. In addition, having juice, soup, and tea are other great ways to ensure that you stay hydrating. Just try to avoid caffeine.
3. Don’t share toiletries and makeup
When somebody asks you to share nail polish, or chapstick, or eyeliner, of course you don’t want to say no, but this is the easiest way to ensure that you and your friend are not only sharing makeup, but a box of tissues. If you or your friend has been sick within the past few weeks, keep your stuff to yourselves.
