Things You Do When You Get Home For Spring Break

Spring Break is just around the corner and that means two things: free food and seeing your friends and family. There are multiple things you do when you first arrive in your hometown. Therefore, here are a list of things you may do when you get home for spring break.

1. Go to the local Dunkin Donuts

If you all go to college, you may know that for one, everything is expensive and overpriced, including coffee. In some schools they sell overly priced coffee. They serve coffee that has 99.9 percent of ice instead of coffee, and you're paying just about $4.00 for it. Have no fear though, your local Dunkin Donuts will be always there for you with fair prices and all.

2. Awaiting your favorite home-cooked meal.

After eating either that dreadful cafeteria food in your dining hall or eating the same meal every night that you cooked, most of you are probably sick of it and need to have real, real food. Mother’s home -ooked meal will be awaiting your arrival and will be one of the top things to look forward to when you get back.

3. Drive around your hometown with your squad to throwback music.

In college we only take a few forms of transportation. Depending on where we all go to college, we either take a subway, a bus, or walk. The minute we all get home, we want to call up all your friends and get in the car and drive around your town listening to some Hilary Duff or "High School Musical" music.

4. Eat Panera Bread.

At some schools, we do not have a Panera Bread around, or the nearest Panera Bread to you is not up to par, since you are used to your location in your hometown. You are most likely going to go there with your friends to enjoy a nice cup of soup, or something else on the menu.

5. Sleep.

Getting some rest should be on the top of your list when you get back home. Luckily, you have a free week of not hearing that annoying alarm sound telling you to get your butt to class. So, since you have no classes, enjoy your time sleeping in until 12 in the afternoon.

6. Driving past your old high school waving to the students who are currently not on break.

Not to be mean or anything, but now that February break is over for people back in your town, it is now our turn to have break and we do not want to go back to high school, so now we can wave to our old school, while school is in session.

7. Do free laundry.

OK, at least in my college I sadly have to pay for laundry. I know some schools make you pay for laundry, so coming home from break can give you the perfect opportunity to save some money and clean your clothing for free.

8. See family.

My last activity is to see your family. Through college, not seeing your family all the time is something that can be difficult. The thing to do is catch up with your family. It can make you feel less homesick, if you were missing home at school.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
