Hollywood Does Politics

It's election season, so everyone is watching all of the debates and doing all of the research we possibly can to help ourselves make an educated choice when voting. Clearly politicians know a thing or two about what this country really needs, but what about the other category of important people in our media: celebrities? It's weird to think sometimes about the fact that celebrities are just people. They cook, they clean, they shop at the mall, and they vote. Check out this breakdown of who your favorite celebs are endorsing this election season.

Who is supporting Donald Trump?

Kid Rock

Kid Rock stated his support for Trump during an interview with Rolling Stone. Like many, Kid Rock feels Trump would make the best candidate because he will run the country like a business.

Azealia Banks

This rapper showed that she's riding the Trump train in a sort of unconventional way when she tweeted that she has "no hope for America" and that "Trump is evil like America is evil and in order for America to keep up with itself it needs him." Yikes.

Mike Tyson

This former heavyweight champ announced back in October that he would endorse Trump, and even though some of his words about immigration were "crude," he could surely hire someone to work with him on that.

Dennis Rodman

This retired NBA star is in agreement with Kid Rock, stating that "[w]e don't need another politician, we need a businessman like Mr. Trump."

Who is supporting Ted Cruz?

Caitlyn Jenner

While she hasn't officially endorsed him, saying his evangelical Christian views and views on transgender issues are probably the worst of the candidates, she does state that he is "a great constitutionalist and a very articulate man."

Who is supporting Bernie Sanders?

Susan Sarandon

The actress voiced her support for Sanders in a statement saying that "[w]e need a leader who is courageous and levelheaded in times of crisis."

Justin Long

This actor's main concern is having a president who is "for the people" rather than one who is focused on representing the banks, corporations, and the media, and he thinks Bernie is that guy.

Sara Silverman

Sara Silverman has been very upfront with her support for Senator Sanders. She tweeted after introducing him at a rally, saying, "He says what he means & means what he says & he's not for sale."

Who is supporting Hillary Clinton?

George Clooney

Clooney likes Clinton because she is "the only grown-up in the room." He seems to be impressed by her "voice of tolerance" and he feels she "knows firsthand the complexity of our international problems."

Khloé Kardashian

Khloé hasn't exactly endorsed Mrs. Clinton, but she has expressed her respect for the fact that Hillary is the first woman to be up for the job and get this close.

Shonda Rhimes

The angel behind all of our Thursday night TV shows ("Scandal," "Grey's Anatomy," and "How to Get Away with Murder") has actually been one of the main forces in one of Hillary's ad campaigns, which featured the stars of all of her shows: Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, and Ellen Pompeo.

Britney Spears

Brit girl voiced her support for Hillary when she posted an Instagram, explaining how honored she was to meet the candidate and how big of an inspiration she feels that Hillary is.

Now that you know just exactly who your favorite celebs are voting for, hopefully it will inspire you to dig a little deeper into your presidential candidate research and form an educated opinion of your own.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
