Why Is Hillary Clinton Running For President?

Because it's easier than running from law enforcement.

Why Is Hillary Clinton Running For President?

Hillary Clinton has been in the public's eye an awful lot these past few weeks. There are feminists praising her and conservatives heckling her. Democrats are brushing off her illness and Republicans are freaking out over what would happen if a sickly president was elected. One thing I've noticed about some of Hillary's supporters is that they support her purely because she isn't Trump. Everyone needs to take a step back and look at her stances on political issues and reconsider whom their support really lies with. Can you imagine what life would be like with Hillary Clinton as our president?

Hillary will practically crush the second amendment in her fist.

Gun laws are going to become very strict. She wants to make it extremely difficult to obtain a gun. Her reasoning is that stricter gun laws will make it nearly impossible for criminals to obtain guns, but let's be honest, if a criminal wants to get a gun, they're going to get it whether or not it's legal.

Trading with China will become extremely difficult.

Hillary's goal is to increase American-made products, but I don't think people realize just how many of the things we purchase are from other countries. Get ready to see a change in companies who manufacture their products overseas like Victoria's Secret, Adidas, Bed Bath & Beyond and Walmart.

The minimum wage will be raised to $12.

With workers being paid $12 an hour, prices are going to be raised to compensate for the amount that companies are going to have to spend on employees, so basically you can get paid $7.25 an hour and get a McChicken for $1, or you can get paid $12 an hour and get a McChicken for $1.65. Now, 65 cents isn't a huge dent in my pocket, but money adds up. Can you imagine buying something more expensive with a price increase like that?

Taxes for US companies that do business with other nations will be raised.

Amazon, Google, Apple, and Coca-Cola will be taxed at higher rates. How do you think these businesses will compensate for these extra expenditures? They'll do it by raising their prices. Hillary's goal is to make it to where companies have no other choice than to do business in and produce their products in America.

The rich will be taxed at a higher rate.

Hillary wants the rich to have to pay more so that the lower class and middle class don’t. Hmm, seems a little wrong that the wealthy have to make up for the poor.

Hillary wants to make the ease of immigration easier.

She could potentially bring in thousands of refugees from the Middle East. I’m all for helping those in need, but we can’t ignore the fact that Radical Islam exists and that there isn’t a way to filter could-be-terrorists from entering our country.

She has changed her political views quite a bit since her last presidential race.

Hillary used to be against gay marriage and now she is 100% for it. It almost seems as if she's changing her political views to be what the public wants, not what she believes. Can we really trust that she will keep her word once she's in office?

Maybe you can get over the fact that Hillary Clinton is responsible for Benghazi and multiple deaths, but I can't. Maybe you're okay with electing a crooked politician as president, but I'm not. She deleted 30,000+ emails and won't disclose their content. If she can't' be trusted to tell America the truth, she doesn't deserve to be trusted as president.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
