Hillary Clinton, you have held many prestigious titles, the First Lady of the United States, United States Secretary of State, United States senator representing New York, and a lawyer for the Children's Defense Fund. You tried to run and win the Presidency, but it did not happen. I know you must be crushed, even if I did not vote for you, I do get that you must be devastated. You are a fighter and a public servant. I don't agree with you on anything but I will give you the respect you deserve. But stop blaming your loss to President-Elect Trump on Jim Comey's October announcement. You were more gracious than usual following your loss, and even Bill congratulated Mr. Trump. It must have taken guts to make that call. But then you had to do what you usually do, pin the blame for your mistakes on someone else or in the case of Benghazi, a video.
You did not win because of what should be an obvious reason to someone as smart and experienced as you. You spent your entire campaign focusing on Donald Trump and running a campaign based on negativity toward him all the while ignoring frustrated voters who have felt marginalized by the last eight years of the Obama administration. Instead of focusing on your policies and your accomplishments, you just kept going after Donald Trump who clearly did a better job at attacking your scandals, weaknesses, while tapping into the anger of the everyday American. The entire campaign you kept saying "let's talk about the issues" yet you never talked about any issues that resonated with the people who voted for Donald Trump or a third party. You lost not because of Mr. Comey regardless if his October surprise was justified, you lost because for one you have given no reason for people to trust you after how many scandals you have been involved in not just in your personal life but also your career in the United States government and you always focused on identity politics and labeling separate groups, instead of working on and focusing on uniting us. The exact behavior your supporters are exhibiting is the reason why you lost.Instead of trying to support the tenets of this country that are so important to so many, God, Guns, and our family, you tried to tear them away from us. Obviously, sixty million voters felt the same way as me so this entire belief of you losing based on your own mistakes is not because I am some extreme right wing nut.
You obviously have more experience than I do and are always going to be smarter than me, and probably hold way more prestigious job titles than me, but take it from someone who voted for Donald Trump for these exact reasons stated above.
