It's that time of year again, awards season! The biggest awards shows are back and they are filled with many of our favorite Hollywood stars. From red carpet arrivals to the acceptance speeches, there is so much in store.

The first awards to kick off the 2016 awards show season was the People's Choice Awards. The People's Choice Awards took place on January 6, 2016 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. In case you did not have the chance to watch the People's Choice Awards on TV, here are the highlights of the People's Choice Awards 2016.

Jane Lynch hosted the People's Choice Awards.

Jane Lynch opened up the awards show by (purposely) changing the lyrics Walk The Moon's popular song, "Shut Up and Dance" and Silento's "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)." She also cracked a few jokes about Steve Harvey and the Miss Universe fail alongside actor Thomas Lennon and the Miss Universe 2015 runnerup, the one and only Miss Colombia 2015, Ariadna Gutierrez.

Dakota Johnson had a wardrobe malfunction.

Dakota Johnson's co-stars, Alison Brie and Leslie Mann, from "How to be Single", presented the People's Choice Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress Award to Dakota Johnson. The strap of the crop top Dakota Johnson wore fell when Leslie Mann gave her a celebratory hug. Dakota laughed it off and made a joke about her slight wardrobe malfunction in her acceptance speech.

Ellen DeGeneres received the People's Choice Award for favorite humanitarian.

There is no doubt that 2016 will be a fantastic year for DeGeneres, especially with winning two awards just five days after the new year rung in. The first award DeGeneres won was People's Choice Favorite Daytime TV Host Award for her talk show "The Ellen Show." The second award was People's Choice Favorite Humanitarian Award.

A stage-crasher interrupted "The Talk" show hosts.

The hosts of "The Talk" were on stage accepting their award for Favorite Daytime Hosting Team when a random guy jumped onto the stage, stole the microphone from Sara Gilbert, and gave a shout out to rapper Kevin Gates. Sharon Osbourne kicked the man's legs. Basically, this man pulled a Kanye.

Vin Diesel paid a tribute to Paul Walker.

Vin Diesel accepted two awards: People's Choice Favorite Action Movie Award and People's Choice Favorite Movie Award for "Furious 7." But what made his acceptance stand out was how he ended his acceptance speech. He sang a few lyrics of the popular song, "See You Again" as a tribute for his co-star, Paul Walker.
