Heres To The Woman Who Has Supported Me My Whole Life

Okay so I don't have any ideas on what to write about so I'm writing about my mom, I know little lame, but I got nothing this week for you guys sorry. Anyway what to tell you about my mom, well first let me say she is the best mom I could ask for like really this isn't me trying to win brownie points, (but if it works please feel free to give me some Christmas is coming) My mother is a special woman in more ways then one, (all god things don't worry mom) Really though she has helped me through so much in this life so far. I know its kind of her job, but regardless thank you for everything you do for me. I mean who else would battle Apple for me when my computer isn't working, and who else would be there to watch me row by her for the tiniest fraction of a second at a regatta? My mom is a wonderful, beautiful, intelligent women that I look up to in more ways than one. Her fashion sense is pretty killer (most of the time ;-)) I mean it does help she has an amazing daughter to help her there.

You have spent years being there to support my mom and I am simply amazed at what you do. Heck, you keep me from turning into a pulled on the floor and you are simply just there for me. I know we have our fights, but what mother-daughter couple doesn't? I also know a mom that you are here to help me through this very crazy thing I call life, even if I might not have a handle on things you always seem to. You are crazy, fun and most importantly supportive and I don't want any of that to change. I look up to mom, after all, I am your twin ;-). I know me being gone is hard for you, I am your only amazing daughter and I miss you too. Don't worry mom I am having a great time here and making a whole bunch of friends and I think about you too. All I ask of you mom is you keep supporting me, (which is know you will) in everything that I do. I love you mom and can't wait to see you!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
