Coconut water has been the drink of choice for many health gurus, including myself. But what we sometimes forget to consider is what health benefits the right coconut water product has for our bodies. Here are some health benefits we get from my favorite coconut water of choice: an actual coconut.

Coconut water has been known to decrease cholesterol levels -- of course, this occurs over time with modified consumption of coconut oils.

Coconut water is a great choice to help replenish electrolytes and restore hydration back into your body. So, next time you complete a workout, reach for fresh coconut water instead of a sports beverage.
4. Helps with weight loss
Coconut water contains many enzymes, a few of which help boost metabolism and aid in the digestion of food. Coconuts also help to flush out any excess water that may accumulate due to elevated sodium levels. Although fresh coconut water is better than most artificial products, it still contains calories. So, consuming fresh coconut water in moderation is the safest route to take.
