As a human being your body is made up of electricity. Every movement, thought and emotion is processed by an electrical current that radiates through your nervous system. After a while, life's processes can be draining. In a literal sense, your body is the battery to your mind. when our battery drains we experience things like fatigue and inflammation. So every once in a while our batteries need to be recharged. How?
It's as simple as going outside with your shoes off. Your body is full of positive (protons), neutral (neutrons) and, negative (electrons) charged particles. in time, the electrons in our bodies are used up and worn down by daily wear and tear. The surface of the earth has an abundance of free-flowing electrons that are charged whenever lightning strikes the earth. through the soles of your feet or palms of your hands, your body will naturally reabsorb those electrons. In theory, the earth is a giant battery charger and you are the battery.
The process of spending time physically connected with the earth is known as "Grounding." I have found that by taking time to be outside connected with nature has greatly improved many ailments for me. The fresh air and electrons that reduce inflammation have improved my lung function, digestive issues, and have lowered my naturally slightly elevated blood pressure. Having asthma, I have been using my inhaler less as the inflammation in my lungs has decreased greatly. My stomach ulcers have shrunk and have become a slight annoyance rather than a constant pain.
As a Descended Native American, my ancestors walked this earth barefoot and common ailments nowadays were unheard of then. If we take time to take off our shoes and dance in the grass the earth will reward us. we no longer have to be dead batteries.
