I’ve had the most exciting week; I turned 20 and got to celebrate in the Big Apple, New York City. Big cities have always held a special place in my heart and now, I can confirm I am a big fan of the city that never sleeps. Our trip lasted a little over 4 days and it was the perfect amount of time to get a taste of the hustle and bussle of NYC— we saw it all from navigating through Chinatown to sitting front row at Phantom of the Opera and the Rockettes.
Each new adventure was like nothing I had ever experienced before, but now reminiscing on my favorite moments, I am already planning the next trip to the city in my head. I also learned valuable tips like how to call a cab and how to be relentless on the streets, but the most valuable lesson I learned while being in the city was it's great to be cute, but nothing beats comfort when you are walking a million and a half blocks to your next destination.
Being a Florida girl for the last three years has most definitely thinned my blood so the freezing temperatures had me wrapped up in several carves, thick jackets, and heavy boots, but that allowed me to break out some of my wardrobe that doesn’t make it out the door in Florida.
