It's crunch time here in America. Election day is only a few weeks off, and with some of the best candidates in the history of America representing each of our two main parties, I thought it may be beneficial to take a moment to recognize why each of these candidates has amazing potential to bring something great to this country.
Let's start with Hillary Clinton. This woman has loads of experience in politics. She started young, as the head of the Young Republicans club in college. She then evolved to acquire all of the skills required of a good politician: stealing, lying, and rocking a pantsuit are a few of her specialties. Under her watch as Secretary of State, she dealt incredibly well with foreign crises, in fact, only four Americans were killed during the 2012 attacks on Benghazi. Clinton has also shown us that she can go with the flow, something that many Americans would love to see in our next president. She goes with the flow so much, that she changes her mind on important issues such as gay rights as soon as a popular opinion on them changes. How cool! Additionally, Clinton knows that it's okay to not be perfect. Confidential emails leak because of her errors? Everybody makes mistakes, and Clinton acknowledges this! She has suffered no consequences because she has a positive attitude, not because of her privilege or back room politics. Clinton likes to spread the message that it's okay to mess up, in fact, it's a human right... Even if the mess ups have to do with matters of national security! However, my favorite thing about Clinton is her headstrong attitude. Nobody messes with her! There have even been rumors circulating that people that disagree with her, simply disappear! Talk about a no-nonsense attitude, this is what we need in America today.
But an arguably even better option, despite Hillary Clinton's many achievements, is Donald Trump. Many Americans are jumping on his so-called "Trump Train" in order to "Make America Great Again." So when was America great? When the notion that women were considered anything more than sex objects was considered as preposterous as it is. According to statements made by Mr. Trump, I'd say he wants to take us back to any time prior to the 20th century (however, we can't go too far back, as that may condone immigration: God forbid we become a country of immigrants). Specifically, Donald makes a good point when he says that we should discriminate against Muslims entering the country. . . after all, discrimination has worked so well in the past! It isn't as if the act of discriminating against large groups of people in the past lead to a civil war! It's for our safety after all! Trump also thinks that it's okay to make fun of the military and especially Prisoners of War. What does the military do for us anyway, though? It's not like they do anything to protect us from both foreign and domestic threats. . . and it's not like Prisoners of War gave everything they absolutely could in order to defend America. That idea is ridiculous. Trump has spoken his mind ,(one of hate for gays, women, differently-abled, minority racial groups and religious groups, etc, etc), which is a much-needed quality in a leader. However outspoken Trump is on most issues however, he won't release his tax records. Why? Because Trump keeps secrets, just like any good leader in today's society. The best part about Trump, however, is that he has no background in politics whatsoever. Which means we have no idea how he'd react to anything... it's a clean slate. The predictability of many of his political decisions would be comparable to spinning the wheel in Wheel of Fortune, and although there's a slight possibility that Trump could land on bankrupt, he could also win us the JACKPOT with all the jobs he would create in building that wall on the Mexican border, while getting Mexico to pay for it, since they totally would.
So don't worry America, take your pick. America's in great hands either way.
