“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light” – Albus Dumbledore

This quote was proven to be true once again on July 30 as Potterheads around the globe prepared to celebrate the coming of the eighth Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.” Barnes and Noble even held a release party from 8 p.m. until midnight to celebrate the book’s release. Fans were welcomed to dress up and participate in games and events as they anxiously waited to purchase their own copy of the book.

The book was officially released on July 31 which is also the birthdate of the one Mr. Harry James Potter, whom many of us know and love.

It is amazing to me how as a kid I went with my parents to Barnes and Noble late at night to wait in line for the seventh Harry Potter book, all dressed up like Hermione Granger, and here it is years later, still excited to continue the adventures I had come to love as a child. It is exciting for me to see how many other people are still in love with the magical world of Harry Potter and how it has grown into a family fan base. The books are loved by both adults and children.

I think that it is incredible that J.K. Rowling was blessed with the ability to create a world which people would always love and one that they would never want to leave. The magical world has been brought closer into reality by the parks at Universal, and also by the release of the screen play of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." The new movie trailer which came out earlier this year for "Fantastical Beasts and Where to find Them" gives fans more cause to be excited.

This muggle can't wait to devour the play, book, and movie as soon as she can.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
