Music has incredible power. It has the ability to make you feel sad out of nowhere by triggering memories, or it has the ability to make you happy for no reason. Often it depends on the type of music you decide to listen to that adheres to your current mood. If you see me around campus, more than likely, I will be walking around with my headphones in, listening to some feel-good music, because probably 87% of the time I feel like I’m on cloud nine any given day. So I decided to share four musical artists who are guaranteed to put you in a good mood.
4. Nelly
When I was thinking of this list, I was struggling with number 4, but as soon as I remembered Nelly, it became clear I couldn’t leave him off. Plus, the fact that I’m writing this in a hotel room in his hometown of St. Louis, it would be blasphemes for me to leave Nelly off this list. Nelly has been giving us happy songs to that make us want to roll down all are windows and blast our speakers for years. If Nelly doesn’t put you in a good mood, I don’t know who else could.
Top Happy Songs: “Ride Wit Me," “Hot in Herre," “Dilemma”
3. T-Pain
We all know T-Pizzle for his auto tune and his hit songs talking about the club life, but this man's music is an instant mood swinger. It might not be his content of music that makes for this happiness while listening to T-pain, but tell me this, when you're at a party or hanging with friends and someone plays “Buy You A Drink," have you ever seen anyone in a bad mood? I haven’t. To be honest, if I see someone not singing along with it, I just assume he or she is deaf.
Top Happy Songs: “Buy You A Drink," “I’m Sprung," “Bartender”
2. Kyle
Super Duper Kyle is one of the lesser-known rap artists who is on this list, but there is no question that his music can put you in a happy mood. He has actually coined the nickname, the Happy Rapper. With his most-recent article being named Smyle, there is no question that his music is meant to put you in a good mood. So if you are looking for a mood booster, check out a new rapper in Kyle. I mean, the guy has a light saber fight on stage during his shows! Who can compete with that?
Top Happy Songs: “Don’t Wanna Fall In Love," “Just A Picture," "Fruit Snacks & Cups of Patron," “Sex and Super Smash Bros," Super Duper Hero”
1. Ja Rule
There is no question why Ja Rule is number one. I have never seen anyone on the face of the earth not be happy and sing along with Ja Rule's song "Mesmerize." If you follow me on twitter, you will know that me re-discovering of Ja Rule’s Music has quickly ascended him to my top rappers. Playing Ja Rule in the locker room rapidly had everyone’s mood switch to instant hype, with excitement and dancing, which became visible by other's snap chat stories, but I’m not afraid I got the moves. (See article, “Dance Floor Tips For Men”). I don’t know how anyone cannot love Ja Rule’s music that man gave us a musical gift that will last for all eternity.
Top Happy Songs: "Mesmerize," “Always on Time," “Put It On Me," “Livin’ It Up”
