Well it is June 16, 2016 so Happy Father’s Day! I am one of the luckiest girls because I have fortunate enough to have two fathers! I have my (biological) father and my step-father. Both of my fathers have helped me grow up and form me into the young woman I am today. I am so thankful I have both of them in my life.

To My Stepfather:

Thank you for always being there for me when I needed you. There may be some differences that are between us, but I will always love you. Thank you for taking me out to the parking lot and running along side me as I rode my first bike without training wheels. Even when I needed picked up for school, you were always willing to leave work early to make sure I made it to my doctors appointment. Your silly, slightly nerdy personality always made my days a little bit brighter.

To My Father:

From the moment I couldn’t walk you stepped into my life. I know you haven’t physically been there for my entire live, but it’s okay. I know that I have been in your heart each and every day. Even with a distance you always made me feel welcomed to come visit each and every summer or holiday. You have always been an inspiration to me because you always fight for what you believe in and you never settle for less than you deserve.

I hope that I have made both of you proud at some point in my life because I have been proud of you since I was little.

Both of you have treated me like a true daughter and I am beyond grateful.

I want you both to know how much I appreciate everything you do for me. I couldn’t ask for a better father or stepfather. I love you both.
