With the start of the new year, we're surrounded by ridiculous New Year's resolutions. Yes, it's important to set goals for yourself, but let's remember what truly makes us happy in life.

Happiness is ...

the smell of coffee

cuddles from a pet

a cold Diet Coke

sunsets

freshly washed sheets

sunflowers

discovering great pens

cozy blankets

finishing a good book

lighting a new candle

wagging tails

new clothes

car rides with the windows down

finding the perfect song

reuniting with friends

fresh haircut

Halo Top ice cream

writing with a brand new pen

eating cookie dough

turning on the radio to your favorite song playing

rainy, lazy Sunday afternoons

bath bombs

watching your cat fall asleep in a cute position

... freshly cleaned room

Happiness is your personal, little everyday joys in life, not your ridicoulus goals for 2018.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
