Happiness and smiles can be very contagious!

All that is ever on the news is depressing things. You just get so sad watching story after story and someone dying or someone getting sick or someone missing or even about an animal dying. I have a hard time watching the news because of that fact. Of course it is a part of life, and bad things happen all the time. It may be hard to accept sometimes, but it is the sad truth. There are even people that are in this world that will try to ruin your good mood. Why they do it, I have no idea, but you can't let them win! You have to stay happy! So I've put some things in this article that will put a smile on your face, and add some happiness in not only your life, but on your timeline. Please enjoy! :)

1. SpongeBob!

First of all, if you don't know what episode of "SpongeBob" this is, you need to go watch it ASAP. This episode and just about every episode of "SpongeBob" makes me laugh!

2. Dogs and cats.

I mean who doesn't love dogs and cats. Look at them. They are just so cute! Just about every dog and cat I see is super cute and puts a smile on my face.

3. "FRIENDS".

Everybody might not love "Friends" the way I do, but I know there are a good majority of people in this world that will understand why not only this line, but this show can turn a frown upside down.

4. The beach!!!

Really any vacation will make you happy and less stressed, but for me, it's the beach! I could go there no matter what the weather, season, or what day of the week it is. The beach is my favorite place, and my favorite places always make me instantly happy!

5. Friends and family!

I can go see any friend or family member and if I tell them I'm down or upset, they know just how to make me happy again!

I could probably list about a million things that make me happy and not everyone will agree with the things I posted because these things might not make everyone happy like they do me. The main point of this article though is to think of things that make you happy when you're feeling down. There will always be bad people in the world, and bad things will always happen, but you have to try and stay positive and happy. Try to see the good in every situation, no matter how bad it might seem. Don't let things kill your mood, which can be hard to do, but when you start to try hard and make being happy a habit, you'll never go back. You will be so much happier, and have a better outlook on life. People will always try to ruin your good mood because that's what some people love to do, but you can't let them do it. Keep that smile on your face, because smiles are contagious! :)

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
