With Halloween just around the corner, questions about the best possible costume choice and how to spend this holiday weekend circle the heads of college students everywhere. It's the one night a year that you can be anything you want to be in the world, and not be judged for it.
I, for example, will be coupling with by boyfriend to be Cosmo and Wanda from "The Fairly Odd Parents." We are going into downtown Baltimore to the epic PowerPlant bar, and I, along with my best friends, plan on having a night for the books.
This weekend at the bars and parties will follow the flexible format of the following:
You and your friends put on the best, cutest costumes you can come up with and sport them for all the bars to see, even if they are a little slutty.
You all pile into an Uber or Lyft to drive you to the bars, even though the roads are assumed to be packed with bitches trying to get to the same place as you guys.
You get out of the car and inspect everyone else's costumes, even though they're not even close to as cute or clever as yours.
When you finally pay your way into the bars, you roll up to the dance floor and pull out your awkward sober moves.
You eventually find your way to the bar, but when the bartender gives you your drink, your like...
Then when the alcohol finally starts to kick in, you and your girls head to the dance floor and pull out your real moves.
Aaaaaand back to the bar.
But...wait.....too much alcohol too fast. Where's the overcrowded bathroom?!
After hours of dancing and drinking, some sweet soul finally gives you a word of advice:
Then, after stumbling all the way home, you realize you have an overpowering need for greasy food.
The next morning when your friends ask you to go out and be a real person in the world, you kindly respond with:
But don't worry, just get some rest and you'll be right back at it the next night.
Happy Halloween!
