Halloween has never been my favorite holiday, I’m not a fan of horror movies, or anything scary for that matter. The gory masks and haunted houses are things I dread every year. But if there was one thing I looked forward to every October was the Halloween movies (not the scary ones though!), especially the one’s one Disney channel. So, let’s take a trip down memory lane at the top seven Halloween movies you must watch before All Hallows Eve.
1. Halloweentown
The best of all time. So good that "Halloweentown" didn’t stop after one movie, there are four. It is the ultimate nostalgia movie of my childhood.
2. Hocus Pocus
The next best of all time. Another classic Disney Channel Halloween movie, and if you say that you didn’t walk around singing “I’ll Put a Spell on You" then you’re lying.
3. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
The most classic of all Halloween movies. Charlie Brown and the Peanuts are a staple in any holiday movie collection, but when it comes to non-scary, kid friendly movies, this one can’t be beat.
4. The Addams Family
They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky. They’re all together ooky, the Addams Family. (ba-da-da-dum)
Again, don’t lie to me and say you don’t sing along with that every time. Wednesday Addams is our spirit animal, saying the truth that we all are thinking.
5. Ghostbusters
A favorite among multiple generations, and another jingle you have to finish every time someone asks “Who you gonna call?” But besides the catchy phrase, it is a Halloween movie that has connected generations, and developed into a book series and multiple different merchandise lines.
6. Twitches
Oh Twitches. Twin Witches. Witches that are Twins. The Mowry twins brought back memories of my favorite childhood show, "Sisters, Sisters," with another great Disney Channel movie.
7. Casper Meets Wendy
There are approximately 1500 "Casper the Friendly Ghost" movies that have been made, but this one is a favorite. The launch of Hilary Duff’s career, and the first movie to make Casper look like a fun best friend, instead of the scary ghost under your bed.
