With Halloween coming up, everyone is trying to decide what they want to be. Well, stop your search because I have what may be the best list of costumes.
The 80's provided us with so much: great music, cult-classic movies, and shoe boxes full of embarrassing pictures of our parents. Now, thanks to this great decade, here is a list of Halloween costumes inspired by the 80's:
1. Top Gun
What a better way to go out than with a buddy of yours dressed as what may be the best movie from the 1980's. There's a plethora of one-liners and singing "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling" to the women at the parties never gets old.
2. Madonna
What a better way to honor the 80's than by dressing up as one of the most iconic female pop artists of all time. Grab some stuff out of your mom's closet and frizz up that hair! Plus, now you have a reason for dancing all night.
3. Ghostbusters
When there's something strange, in the neighborhood, who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! No one will be able to mistake who you are when you and your friends show up as Peter, Ray and Egon. And nothing is better than running through town because you have to go find more ghosts.
4. Valley Girl
If you're looking to have some fun, throw on those gloves that don't cover your fingers, frizz the hair up, and don't forget that skirt with leggings! You now have a reason to talk like a Valley Girl without people getting mad at you too!
5. Miami Vice
One of the best television shows of the 1980's, and that may be strictly because of the stylish outfits worn by Crockett and Tubbs. Ask your dad to borrow that salmon pink sport coat he still has and toss on a white tee, and before you know it you are the best-looking person at the party.
6. Treasure Trolls
Yes, this technically is a group costume, but you could always go solo too I guess. But seriously, how great would this be to have you and some friends get dressed up and the treasure dolls for one night during the weekend? I've seen some cool group costumes, but I remember seeing this a few years ago and it is still my favorite.
7. Smurfs
Again, what a great group costume to go as with a bunch of your friends. Pro: Everyone will know who you are, but that could also be because of the blue paint. Con: The paint...
8. 80's Wrestlers
Think of all the great wrestlers that were around in the 80's: Hulk Hogan, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, and of course Ric Flair to just name a few. Get a few of your buddies and go as a group of some of the most legendary wrestlers of all time. I call dibs on Ric Flair, "WHOOOOO".
9. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
One of the movies we are more familiar with when it comes to the 80's, this group set-up is pretty easy. Get yourself an older jacket with some sunglasses, a buddy with a Red Wings jersey, and one of your girl friends who doesn't mind you singing "Twist and Shout" all night.
