Let me start by saying, wow I have been exactly where you are.

Every girl has been exactly where you are. Seeing guy after guy not answer your text. Open your Snapchat, post a story, but not answer you back. Tell you that you’re a catch until one day you aren’t anymore. Then you play every conversation, every play by play, every hangout over and over in your head until you come to the conclusion.

“I am not good enough for him. I did something wrong.”

Well, I’m here to tell you. You are more than enough for him. You are amazing.

I have seen so many of my friends. Women who are courageous, smart, beautiful and extraordinary people that are taken down by one average guy with a below average opinion. These same friends that are crying because this guy made her feel small and forget how worthy she is and it breaks my heart.

While you once thought you were a fearless chick taking the world by storm, now you’re just a girl that needs to change her uniqueness to fit what that particular guy wants from her. She has to pretend that she doesn’t care as much as she does. She has to pretend she is okay with how things are going. She has to pretend that she genuinely thinks it’s her fault when he’s the one not treating her how she should be.

Do not let that one (or many in my case) guy’s opinion take your love away from yourself. Do not let that guy take away your energy. Love yourself and remember that if he never ends up texting you when he said he would or “ghosts” you, he lost out on an amazing girl. Be beautiful and never let a guy make you feel low about yourself because no one has the power to do that to you.

So, next time you get left on read followed by a “u up?” text or the guy from the party gets your number and doesn’t use it, don’t sweat it. Be fearless. Be empowered. Take that drink. Go to that party. Or if you’re like Wiz Khalifa, “work hard, play hard.”
