Have you ever felt like when things get rough that in your heart you feel that the door slams on you and tears you down? Imagine standing at a door with Jesus on the other side. Would you open the door to let him in or close him out? Throughout the daily lives we tend to close the doors on the past and slam the doors walking towards the future. Sometimes we close God out and his heart breaks when we are given an opportunity to let Him Open the doors in life. There is a saying that when a door is closed that another door opens. That saying is also true in the lives of Christians. Picture yourself standing on the other side of the door and you hear Jesus knocking; are you so wrapped up in where you are that you refuse to let him in so that He can protect and take care of you? In our daily lives God closes doors and provides opportunity to open another door on your way to serving God and letting him walk with you through those doors. Life is full of doors that have been closed and doors have been opened to show us that we should not give up just because life doesn't turn out the way we want it to. Christians today sometimes have trouble letting Jesus in that door for they be holding onto a burden that they may have been holding onto for years and are scared to close that door and open the doors that will let Jesus into our lives and hearts so that he can help those doors to open in order to serve the ultimate father above and have Jesus walk by our side through those doors; that we are given the opportunity to choose whether to open those doors or slam them shut.
Sometimes in life our faith may
be tested and it may seem that every time that you knock on the door
that it slams shut in your face and you feel so torn down and afraid
that you are scared to open the doors that let Jesus in your life and
heart to help you through those doors.
Colossians 4:3-6 (NIV) And pray for us, to, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always filled with grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Jesus knocks on your door and wants you to let
him, however the choice is yours. You may have had the door slammed in
your face, however with Christ in your heart and choosing to Serve GOD
one door may be closing, but another one is opening and Jesus will walk
by your side to walk in that opportunity through an open door that was
not slammed shut.
Proverbs 8:34 (KJV) Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
Sometimes we may need to be willing to step back and allow Christ to help open those doors with opportunities to serve God throughout our lives and Jesus to help us walk with those doors and open the doors not only to our hearts, but for our journey to the ultimate prize in Heaven.
Revelation: 3:20 (KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. If one door closes and another door is opened through Christ providing the opportunities to open those doors would you let HIM in to open those doors in your life? Imagine Jesus knocking on your door tonight, would you slam the door in his face or let him in to show you the opportunities that God will provide and Jesus will be walking by your side in the open doors? A-men.
