It's no secret that the internet is always run amok with images and videos of cute animals, whether it be the ever adorable pictures of kittens, sob stories detailing animal heroism, or the comically precious trend of dog-shaming. The real star, though, of 2015, seemed to somewhat come out of left field.
Last year, it seemed that the masses began to realize that some of the cutest animals were our barnyard friends, and goats began to flood our social media.
From videos of kids bouncing around like they're doing Parkour, to pictures of goats cuddled up with puppies, these little guys stole our hearts in a big way in 2015, and here's why we don't want this trend to stop anytime soon:
1. Come on, they're stinking cute.
How can you not love a face like this? Seriously, now I just want goat cuddles.

2015 was definitely the year of the goat. I even got lucky enough to make a few of my own little goat friends!
So, let's not forget, in 2016, all the joy these little fellas brought us. I could goat on about this forever, but I'll finish for now by asking you to keep the cuteness alive in the new year.
