Where to start, where to start. Well, let's start it here in the present days of summer 2016. Over recent years, the temperature has been reaching triple digits. The lows are in the 70s starting as soon as the sun comes up, and reach the high nineties and low 100s. The winters are starting to become shorter and less and less snow is being produced because of it. You always hear about the polar ice caps melting. Well, it's giving less room for all the animals that live in cold environments. Mother Nature is suffering and the Earth is slowly but surely dying.
The direct causes of global warming are unknown, but there are a few things I can think of that could've led to the state that the Earth is in at this very moment. Although there are some nice parts of the Earth, like the great lakes and national parks, there are also some bad parts -- like how everywhere you look there is some sort of construction going on. It wouldn't be that bad if we didn't decide to start 100 projects and never really finish any of them. Also the cutting down of trees and other vegetation is slowly killing us. Trees provide us with oxygen and we give them carbon dioxide. It's a symbiotic relationship that's been going on for decades. But, soon, that relationship will be coming to a close if we continue at this rate cutting down the vegetation.
Another thing that isn't helping the Earth is the amount of sunlight on the oceans and other bodies of water is becoming to much for the ocean. It's allowing bacteria to build up in the ocean and many of the marine life is dying because of it. And don't get me started on how disgusting the oceans and bodies of water are today and who is to blame? We are. We are the ones that leave our trash on the beach and it ends up in the ocean; we are the ones who dump our waste into the water. Have you ever seen pictures of sea gulls getting the soda rings wrapped around their necks or a sea turtle getting something stuck in his nose?
The ozone layer is being destroyed and once it is completely destroyed it's going to be a world of pain for us. It's going to be hard to breath and the sun is going to have a greater affect on you. So, if there's one thing I can encourage everyone to do it's to take care of the environment because once it's gone, it's gone.
