If you are like me, you love the outdoors but have never been a "camper." The whole putting up a tent thing never really works, and sleeping bags, well, don't even get me started. If this is the case, glamorous camping or "glamping" will probably appeal to you. Basically it is just camping but with luxuries... like a real bed!! There is a website called Glamping Hub that showcases the best glamping sites in the United States and other countries as well. Below is a list of, in my opinion, some of the coolest glamping sites in the States.
1. Tree House in Santa Cruz, California
This gorgeous glampsite in California is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. You can rent a tree house for a night and the next day explore some music festivals, or go zip-lining nearby.
2. Safari Hut in Upstate New York
These super cool huts are located near the Finger Lakes in New York. Nearby there are many attractions, such as waterfalls, hiking, birds for watching, and hot air balloons for riding.
3. Tipi in Oakland, Maryland
This glampsite is neat because you can stay in an authentic Native American tipi. These tipis are cozy and close to a river. Some nearby acivities are yoga classes, hiking, walking and fishing.
4. A-Frame Cabins near Bass Lake, California
There are two A-frame cabins that can be rented. One is red, and the other is brown. There is a lot to do around this glampsite, such as horseback riding, hiking, fishing and even walking.
5. Glass House in Connecticut
This is an all-glass house secluded in a forest. There is a lot to do close by. You could go to the beach or the city, or even stay in the countryside. It is all really convenient to experience.
6. Tree House along Lake Cumberland Shores, Kentucky
I think the tree house speaks for itself. It is pretty darn cool. You can go horseback riding or even golfing. This place has a gorgeous view of water and mountains.
7. Cabins in Smokey Mountains, Tennessee
These cabins are located in the beautiful Smokey Mountains and really close to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. You can go to a music festival nearby, or even go zip lining.
8. Boathouse in Boston, Massachusetts
This boathouse is extremely unique because it is docked in the Boston Harbor. You can spend the night, and the next day go snorkeling, play tennis or do yoga.
9. 18th Century Inn in Milton, New York
This inn is decorated according to 18th century style. You can also get different spa treatments done, play golf or go hiking.
10. Tree Canopy in Asheville, North Carolina
This glampsite is located in the mountains, so there is hiking and zip lining nearby. Also there is complimentary breakfast.
11. Luxurious Tents in Vail, Colorado
These tents are equipped with electricity. They overlook 1,000 acres of pasture. Nearby activities include yoga and walking.
12. Cabins in Joshua Tree National Park, California
These cabins are located in Southern California -- a desert landscape. You can adventure over to Palm Springs or Yucca Valley. You can also go walking or do some yoga.
Glamping is really popular for people with a heart for adventure. These are just my hand-picked choices of some awesome glampsites, but there are plenty others out there.
