Before every girl goes out, there is a chance she will want to have her picture taken with her friends. If you are a guy, chances are the girls will ask for you to take the photos for them.

1. Background

Make sure the girls are behind a cute background like a tapestry or a flag. It may seem typical, but pretty backgrounds are so much better than a messy dorm room.

2. Lighting

All the girls probably have different skin tones. Make sure the lighting makes all of the girls look great.

3. Best Camera

Find the girl who has the best camera in the group for the best quality pictures.

4. Take Several Pics

Don't be the guy to take two pictures. Take many pictures so they have plenty of choices. Also be sure to get different girls in the pictures. They may want a picture with an individual person as well as one with the whole group.

5. Candids

The most important thing is to make sure you are getting candid pictures of them. This should come naturally if you are taking several pictures. Don't allow them to fake laugh. Wait until they naturally start cracking up over something. Candids are cute and show them at their best (or worst).

6. Compliment them

Make sure the girls feel as beautiful as they look. Even a simple "you all look great" is perfect.

7. Poses

Give them options. Tell them to take a silly picture. Tell them to take a total frat boy pic or a squad pic. Whatever it is, allow them to not give you the same pose so all of the pictures don't look the same.

8. Get the Shoes

Make sure you get all of the girls head to toe in the pictures. Don't be too close to their faces because they worked hard on their entire outfit. Make sure you get their shoes.

9. Show them the Pics

All of the girls want to approve of the pictures. Give them the chance to look through them. If you did everything above, there should be a picture that every girl likes. They may ask you to take more. Be patient with them.

10. The Last Selfie

Once they are satisfied with the pictures, get all of the girls and guys together and take a silly picture to show that you were the photographer.

11. Have Fun

The girls will really appreciate you taking the pictures. Your job is done. Now all you have to do is go out with them and the guys and have a good night.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
