Life gets ahead of a lot of us sometimes. Without realizing it, you take on way too much and you feel like you're drowning. However, you know why you took on multiple tasks at once. You knew your future would thank you for it. You knew if you struggled now, future you would be in a hell of a lot better place than where you are now. You knew it was the right thing to do.
So why do you feel so overwhelmed and helpless, now? Why does it feel like you bit off more than you can chew? Why does it feel like everything is working against you, when you're working SO hard? Why does life seem like an upward battle?
Well, these were the questions I kept asking myself, and I kept coming up short on answers. Yes, you can get into the mindset where "everyone is out to get you," or, "the world/God hates me," or even, "I don't deserve anything good in life."
But, you see, that's just not true. Thinking like that will only bring YOU down, and bring you farther away from your goals.
I still haven't figured out the answers to all of those questions I ask myself everyday, but instead of letting the stresses bring me down, I take a second to be thankful for these stresses instead.
Yes, life can be extremely overwhelming and quite hard to handle at times, but I am so thankful I get to wake up everyday and go to school. I am so thankful I got to take an extra class this semester so I can graduate on time in the spring. I am so thankful I have a car and a car payment that allows me to go back and forth from school to work to home, safely.
I am so thankful for the job that gets on my nerves every single day. I am thankful for my parents who push me to be the best version of myself, even when it feels like that's the complete opposite of what they're doing.
You choose your own mindset and you choose how you see your life. You choose to make today a good day or bad day. So, to the girl who is struggling to try and do it all, remember this:
Everything is temporary, even pain. Every struggle you face now, is going to make you a stronger, better person for your future. Keep on trucking, because no matter what, you will get through this.
So, to the girl trying to do it all, you can do it and you will.
