Is this real? Can this actually be happening? Why yes, my fellow "Gilmore Girls" fans, it is happening, and it is going to be great. It has finally been announced that "Gilmore Girls" is coming back to give fans what they have finally been waiting for. Since the end of the show eight years ago, we've all been wondering what the heck happened. Now is our chance to find out. Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of the fabulous show, has paired with Netflix to finish off the story. There will be four 90-minute episodes that will start production early next year. If that's not something to be overly excited about, I really don't know what is. With the return of the show coming sometime in the near future, there are some definite things that I would love to see, and I'm really hoping Sherman-Palladino will pull through.
1. Luke and Lorelai are married
I mean, duh, right? They've been fighting for each other so long it is only right for them to end up together and happily in love, still living in Stars Hallow. One thing I do not want to see is Luke's daughter, April. Yes, it was cool to see Luke being a dad, but she was annoying, and I'm so over that storyline. One of the only things I need to be happy with this show's return is for Luke and Lorelai to be married in the same house that's been around for years.
2. Rory working for a big shot newspaper
Obviously, Rory's career was extremely important to her. It was who she was, and she wasn't ashamed to be 100 percent committed to her work. I'm hoping that we are able to see Rory working her way up in the newsroom and being a top reporter. In my dream plot, she would still be living close to home so that her and Lorelai's relationship stays just as strong as it has always been.
3. Jess or Logan
I'll be honest, I love both Jess and Logan. If we're lucky, we'll be graced with one of the boys. And if we're really lucky, one of them will be dating Rory and supporting everything that she is doing out in the world.
4. Lane, Zack, and the Twins
Their story ended a little unfinished in my opinion. I want to know what happened with their family. Are they still in Stars Hallow? Will there be a reunion of Hep Alien? Maybe the twins are in their own little band.
5. Friday Night Dinners
What would "Gilmore Girls" be without Friday Night Dinners. But there will be one big difference with these dinners if they occur; with the passing of Edward Herrmann, who played Richard Gilmore there will be one less person sitting at the dinner table. This is incredibly sad, but I'm sure there will be some sort of tribute to him in the new episodes.
6. Witty lines between Rory and Lorelai
The one and only thing I 150 percent need to see during the revival of "Gilmore Girls." They have the best mother-daughter relationship that had ever been on television. Their one-liners, food binging, and movie marathons are what I live for when watching this show. Hopefully, with the revival of the show, it'll tie up many loose ends and bring in a few new story lines as well.
