If there is one thing I absolutely cannot stand, it's being ignored.

Boys, well they seem to love to do just that. I mean I know I'm not alone in this struggle, so many of my friends will text me saying, "well I just got left on open...again". To be completely honest it's really their loss, but at the same time it really sucks.

So this is to all my ladies who slightly cringe when they read "Read at 11:23 PM", here are just a few shared thoughts.

1. How Dare He?

Like who does he think he is ignoring me. I’m quite the catch.

2. Wow. Just perfect.

Just the confidence boost I needed. I mean I already got left on open my own mom, so this is really just fine.

3. Whatever, this is totally his loss.

He’ll miss me. I mean he won’t find another girl like me, soooo

4. Not again.

This is only the 3rd time this week, but its totally okay. I'll find someone else who will probably do the same thing, but it's totally okay.

5. Okay, but like why can't someone besides my mother love me?

She has to say I’m pretty, and I’m trying to get someone who wants to say it. (seriously though, mom I love you)

6. Really though like did I say something I shouldn’t have?

I mean I thought things were going fine. Maybe I didn’t compliment him enough, or I talked about myself too much. Maybe he misunderstood that last text.

7. Maybe he is busy.

I mean he has school with tests and papers, maybe he just is being a studious boy. (actually not sure these exists?? asking for a friend?)

8. He is probably talking to like 5 other girls anyways.

Or maybe he is a player and I’m just another girl on the list. Who are they? Let me go stalk his Instagram followers.

9. Is it because I’m not pretty enough, like what the heck??

I’m definitely a solid 6 for looks, like add 4 for humor and you’ve got a 10. Not sure what the problem is.

10. Screw him

Who needs boys anyways? There are literally millions of other guys who I’m sure would love to love me.

11. I wonder if he just forgot to respond??

Maybe he opened it and got distracted! I literally do this all the time, like anything could’ve happened, right?

12. Maybe I should text him again.

I’ll just add on really quick to what I said before, and it’ll remind him. Then he’ll text me back and everything will be good.

13. It's fine. It's really fine. Over it.

Or not.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
