Tough decisions surround us on the daily, whether you're deciding what you want to watch on Netflix or what you want to stuff your face with while binge watching all those "Grey's Anatomy" episodes, it's a decision, and it's not an easy one.

But I'm talking about REALLY tough decisions, and what one of mine was:

Where I'm going to college.

I was always that high schooler who was ready for the next big thing, and that next big thing was always college. I've dreamed of going to college for years knowing that I'd get to decorate my future dorm, take classes on things I actually find interesting, getting to find my calling, and making lifetime friendships. I had ideas of where I wanted to go but I never knew how in the hell I'd make that decision.

After many college visits, I have to say I adored almost everywhere I went. I applied, got into my some of my top choices. I was pretty happy.

I settled very early on Alabama because they accepted me first, they had an interest in me and I had interest in them. I was so excited to be the senior who decided where they wanted to go first.

But then I received my acceptance letter from Stetson and I nearly lost it from all the happiness overwhelming me because quite frankly, I didn't think I'd get in.

I spent nights in my room pondering whether I wanted to go a big university and do big university things or go to a quaint little school in a cute little town. Whether I wanted to stay in state or explore the unfamiliar. Whether I should go where I felt like people wanted me to go or to go to a place where I feel I belong. Whether I want to be right near the beach or go to a place where they actually experience seasons..especially winter. (As a native floridian, the thought of winter terrified me). There were so many factors in this decision process I can't even begin to think of them all.

So I decided to go with where I felt most comfortable and accepted which was Stetson. It just felt so right to say I'm a Hatter. It being a small school really appealed to me because of the sense of a tight knit community/family feel and the opportunity to be just more than a number in the system, to have your voice heard and appreciated! And don't get me started on how beautiful the campus is. It's a palm tree wonderland full of rich history and long lasting tradition.

What my message is to you guys still making your college decision and to you upcoming seniors. Don't rush it. You do NOT have to be the first person in your class to decide where to go to college, there's no first place trophy you're going to win for it anyways. Go with your gut. And stay true to you. Go somewhere where you can call home and be able to thrive and flourish! Happiness is KEY. So find your key, open the door to your future, and see what life has in store for you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
