A gentle reminder to the ladies of the world,

We hear all the time “take care of yourself” and girl…. ITS TIME YOU START LISTENING. This open letter goes out to all the damn strong, independent, beautiful, perfect, amazing women I know.

It’s time you give up on having people move mountains for you, go and move your own mountains.

It’s time you stop playing 50/50 in your relationships with others and start being 100/100 in your relationship with yourself. It’s time you stop waiting for that knight in shining armor to come and save the day. Put on your own armor and go save yourself from the evil in the world.

It’s your time. Have your own back. Create your own desires. Don’t allow your emotions to overpower your intelligence. Write your own story. Climb that mountain. Be Brave. Be Free. Be boss.

Put on that red dress, throw on your glass slippers and conquer your dreams. Go get that new job. Take that new position. Let go of any sour influences. Run over fear and don’t turn back.

Honey, pick up that crown and wear it loud and proud. Settle for nothing less than what you want. Make broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. You’re perfect just the way you are. Don’t change for anyone except yourself.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
