Trying to kill some time? Need some games to play while you are waiting to called into your appointment, waiting for your bus or train stop? You have to be careful while playing a game when waiting for your bus or train stop because if you're too into the game you might miss it haha. Well, here are some games I suggest you download from the App Store if you don't have them already!

Words With Friends

I've been playing Words with Friends for a few years and I'm not embarrassed to admit that I am not as good as I should be by now! My sister introduced my other sister and I to it and we have been hooked since. Words with Friends is also available on Android, Windows Phone, any web browser, and Kindle Fire, so not just iOS. It is a two-player game in which you take turns creating words as pictured above. You can either add friends you know to play with, a random opponent, or do solo play. There is also Words With Friends 2 but I have not played it yet.

Candy Crush Saga

Yes, I'm still playing Candy Crush! I played it a lot when it first came out but I stopped playing for some reason I can't remember. I re-downloaded it a few months ago and have no regrets. It is fun to play when you're bored or waiting like I mentioned earlier. Candy Crush is a single player game where you match three or more of the same colored candies given a certain number of moves to make in each level. Certain levels require you to score an assignment amount of points in a given time, clear jelly, and more. The good thing is that although this game is addictive, you are given a number of lives and if you lost all your times you have to wait a certain amount of time to play again which is good. It's really telling you to stop playing and return to your current life responsibilities which is what we all need. We tend to find ourselves behind a screen for the majority of our day whether it be for our job, school, or just in during our free time.

FriendO

I had no idea about FriendO until my best friend invited me to play. FriendO is an app where you answer questions about yourself various categories the app provides and you send them to your friends. Some of those categories are my sports, celebrities, music, and passport (travel). Your friend then has to guess what your answer is and if they get it correct then they get a point. You do the same and it keeps going. The more friends you invite then the more categories you unlock! It's pretty fun to play because you learn more about your friends. Just a heads up though, you have to be at least 17 years old to download it!

GamePigeon

GamePigeon allows you to play games on iMessage. My favorite games are 8-Ball, Anagrams, and Basketball but there are definitely more to choose from. I was happy to see this was a part of the latest iOS update because it makes texting much more fun. I think this might work on Android as well but don't quote me on this!

I hope you download at least one of these apps!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
