My hopefully-freakin'-awesome future roomie,
First off, you should know I am quite excited to meet you but I also have a lot of worries running through my mind. It's kind of scary knowing I'm going to be living with someone who is a complete stranger for an entire school year. I'd like to hope we will not be strangers by the time the school year is done, but who's to say! There are so many questions I'm going to ask you whether you like it or not. Sorry, but my curiosity gets the best of me at times. What are you like? Where did you grow up? How did you grow up? Do you like to dance like me? Do you like to eat a lot? 'Cause I sure do and if you don't that would be awkward.
I'll be honest here and say I have never shared a house with someone other than my family. I haven't even shared my room with anyone but family — if I had to. I'm sorry if I don't act "correctly" around new people but it's going to take some time to get used to having new people surrounding me and my home because it's now your home also. I hope I can make your new living experience easy and underwhelming. To make this easier on you, I have put together a few traits about myself to share with you. I almost want to apologize in advance because I can get super crazy! (Hehe)
1. I Dance... A Lot
This can be a good and bad thing. Dancing is like my "thing" and you'll see that once we've lived together for awhile. Music is a huge part of my life and whenever I hear it, my body just moves. It's in my blood. So look forward to many 30-second-dance parties in our living room.
2. My Sarcasm Is All In Good Fun.
Sometimes people think I'm rude if they don't know me well enough, but I'm a very sarcastic person and like messing around with people. I like cracking jokes, and pushing limits. Now doing so, I also know when the appropriate time is to start and stop.
3. I Am The Sassiest Girl You'll Ever Meet.
This is not a lie. I love being sassy, showing off, and being the center of attention. Not all the time, but most of the time. Being in theatre really doesn't help this part of my life. I love dressing up and going out on the town, I love walking around with my friends knowing we look good. Who doesn't?
4. I Am A Perfectionist At Times.
This part of me comes and goes with different situations in my life. With every room in my house other than my bedroom, it will be organized and set up my way. I like things a certain way so it's easier for me to deal with them accordingly. My car is a completely different story and it's usually messy 24/7. Same with my bedroom, usually it's picked up but never Mary-Poppins-Friendly. Don't take it personally if I don't like when you use my personal belongings right away, I'll get used to it eventually.
5. I Will Love The Sh*t Out of You.
Friends to me are like family. One of the most important parts of someone's life. Whenever I make new friends, I try to get to know them as much as possible. I have such a huge heart and love sharing that with others. I care about way too much too; it can get in the way sometimes. Whenever I try explaining this topic, I like to bring up this example: Let's say we're out at a party (maybe we won't party, this is just an example) and some guy/girl comes up to you, hits on you, won't leave you alone, etc. If I'm not already by you, you bet your bottom dollar Annie that I'll March right over and pretend to be your girlfriend if I have to. I can also pretend I got my period or something that would freak the guy out if necessary. I got you, girl. I'll be there for you through thick and thin, and hope you will do the same.
As I said before, I'm really not used to living with people other than family so I'm very excited to experience this new part of life with you. I hope this letter doesn't scare you because I am so totally fun I promise. There is so much more to learn about me, but I'd like you to find that out on your own. The five things I shared are just the biggest parts of me that can be interpreted differently throughout people. I'm hopeful that we will become friends, but I also don't want to get my hopes up too high and end up sad you know? So here's to making new friends, new memories, and having a fun year in school!
Peace out girl scout,
Your hopefully-freakin'-awesome-future roomie.
