You guessed it, it is officially the holiday season. Students are going on break, parents are taking time off, and most importantly, you're anxiously waiting to aggressively rip open presents on Christmas. Some of you may be working full time (like myself), but hey, we all need to have fun at least a little bit this holiday season. Here are some fun things to do during these couple of weeks.
ICE-SKATING! It's basically like rollerskating right? I remember first trying to ice skate, which didn't end up too pretty. But it definitely gets you into the Christmas spirit, and falling on your butt is always a funny sight too
Baking is always a fun idea... especially since you get to eat all of your creations. But seriously, there's always such a great satisfaction of taking warm cookies out of the oven and having the smell of sugary goodness wafting through your house
Catching up on all your favorite TV show. I've been catching up on "The Office" since I finished my finals. Waste of time? Not at all.
Holiday shopping definitely leads to gifts.. which then leads to GIFT WRAPPING. Gift wrapping isn't exactly something to do "for fun" but hey, it is nice neatly wrapping gifts for your loved ones, and it's just part of the Christmas tradition. Plus, you can get really wacky gift wrap to make it an even BETTER time.
Obviously you're gonna want to "treat yo'self" this holiday season... c'mon now, just look at all those great deals. Go reward yourself because you deserve it!
Sitting by a campfire/fireplace with a good book in hand and some hot chocolate is definitely a great way to wind down during the holidays. I think all of us have trouble having time to enjoy a good book during the school year with all of our crazy school schedules.
Going to a nearby coffee shop with your laptop is always a relaxing thing to do this holiday season. I've always enjoyed just sitting down with an americano while working on a blog of some sort. It's always a nice thing to just catch up on what I love to do but never have time for during the school year.
Eating lots and lots of homemade cooking. Coming back for the holidays is always a great time... and we all know why. Home. Made. Food. You guessed it. We all need a nice home-made meal, and the holiday season is the perfect time to take advantage of that.
Lastly, and most importantly, spending time with your loved ones is a definite must (I'm sure you were planning on it anyways). But it's always fun, hearing stories, watching movies together, and just being around the people you love most.
