The first month of the semester in college is exciting, fun, and stressful. It starts out perfectly. You come back and see your friends and get all of your stuff moved into your cute new place!

It's all so exciting! Then the first week is just fun getting to know everyone and going to your new classes. By the end of it, you are already getting stressed.

"Friends" is one of the most loved television series in history. The characters are relatable to every generation. So here is the cast of friends describing your first month of the semester.

1. The excitement of move-in day!

Move-in day is so exciting! You get to bring all of the cute stuff you bought and arrange your place exactly how you want!

It is also stressful; getting all the furniture in and things you have arranged perfectly is stressful. However, when it is done it looks super cute and is perfect!

2. Seeing all your friends

Going without your friends all summer sucks. Once you see them again you can't help but give them a HUGE hug!

3. Syllabus Week

Syllabus week and honestly the week after is really chill. You are mostly just getting to know the people in your class.

Also deciding if the professor is going to be a good fit for the semester. The first day can be really weird with a professor or just super chill.

4. Labor Day weekend

Labor Day weekend is a nice little break for everyone to go see their families and just have one last break before things start to really crack down.

This weekend most people use to relax on but some people may think you should use this break to get ahead. I know no one that actually does that though.

5. When you have two papers, two quizzes, and a test all in the next three days

College has a way of just being very chill until it decides it's time to slap you in the face. It gives you a reality check out of absolutely nowhere. You can do it though!

Keep your head above water friends. We all got this!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
