To me, this quote and picture apply to my life and mean a lot personally to me. Family to me is people who never give up on you when things get hard. Family is the people in your life that are always there to pick you up when you fall. In this photo, I and my best friend Olivia were just days away from graduating, something at the beginning of the year seemed achievable for me. I was in a situation where I almost got kicked out of school and didn’t even know if I was going to graduate. I got in a lot of trouble and thought about dropping out, but Olivia was my person who honestly helped turned my life around. She helped me set small weekly goals to become a better person and a better friend to others in my life. Those small weekly goals lead to longer term goals that I am so happy to say I have accomplished. One of these goals was to graduate high school, another was to get accepted to a university. I honestly a year ago didn’t even have the intentions to come to college, but with her help, here I am sitting in classes at a university. Family is truly more than just blood related to me. I am so blessed to have positive people in my life that keep me going in life because without them I wouldn’t have even graduated high school, let alone be a Bronco. It is crazy how much one person could change your life if you let them. Family and friends are the support I will always have to keep me going through tough times, and knowing this is what keeps me striving for excellence every day, because I know I have many people to make proud, and also prove wrong. I am learning that the more positive people you surround yourself with, the more motivated and determined you become. To me, it is a challenge to not only make myself proud every day but to also make my family blood, and non-blood, proud and happy for me as well. I am becoming a more humble man because of these people in my life and I couldn't be more grateful.
