The days of summer are coming to an end and it is time to get back to beloved Franklin College. You know what that means? Welcome week! This is a time of excitement and new beginnings on campus. I'm here to take you on the journey of Franklin College Welcome Week from a freshman's perspective and an upperclassman's. Let's go!
Freshmen on Move In Day:
Move in day has finally arrived! Lucky me, there is a swarm of upperclassmen to help me move in.
Upperclassmen advice: Be thankful... this is a one time thing.
Upperclassmen on Move In day:
This time last year, as a freshman, I was all packed and ready to go weeks in advance. Now it is move in weekend and I'm still not packed. Oh well, I'll figure it out soon enough.
Freshmen at Welcome Bash:
Wow, look at all this cool free stuff! This event is so well put together. Time to get balloon animals and hop in the Photo Booth to take pictures with these people I just met.
Upperclassmen at Welcome Bash:
I just slaved hours to put together this event... I hope all the freshman enjoy it.
Freshmen at Movie at the President's:
Wow, this is so cool. I just shook hands with the president in his house AND he is giving me ice cream. I think I've made it. Although I basically know no one yet... I guess I could go sit by my LA 100 class or something, but is that lame? Oh look! It's someone from my hall, let me go say hi and make a new friend!
Upperclassmen at Movie at the President's:
FINALLY! Everyone is back on campus and all is right with the world. It has been the longest summer away from these people. Time for popcorn and an outdoor movie at the beautiful home of the President.
