Who says you can’t have a little study break in between cramming for the end of the semester finals that’ll decide if you have to pay to take the exact same class again next semester?
Whether it’s picking up a football and getting a few friends together or cuddling up in your bed and turning on the TV to see the Browns move to 0-13, it can be a fantastic stress reliever. Pick up football is one of the easiest sports to play; you can literally just throw the ball to an open man and boom, complete pass, move the chains down the field. The only rules are the ones you think of in the moment, so it’s a pretty low maintenance, chill type of game. But maybe you don’t want to bare the cold and possibly even snowy conditions just to take a study break, so watching football on TV is your cup of tea. It still gets the job done and you can continue to stay in your room and pretend like you’re accomplishing something school related. Either way, you can get out some aggression and sadness and be productive about it.
However, it can be tricky, don’t get me wrong. The Ravens are on Monday Night Football this week and I have an exam on Tuesday, but is that going to stop me? Absolutely not. So while I’m studying for my finals, I’ll be sitting on my bed in my Ravens jersey shouting at the TV, and I’m totally okay with doing that. Embrace it, live it, and love it.
So choose football and finals and kick butt this week.
