If you ever find yourself searching for something to watch on television turn to the The Food Network. We all love food so why not watch shows that are about nothing but food. The Food Network is home to some of the best shows on television and here are five of them.
1.Chopped
Chopped is where chefs go figure out who's the best in the kitchen. Unlike other cooking competitions on the Food Network there are no gimmicks or sabotages in the Chopped kitchen. Each chef gets the same four ingredients and has 30 minutes to make the best dish possible. The winner gets $10,000 but what really matters is the bragging rights you get as a Chopped champion.
2.Diners,Drive-Ins and Dives
if you're hungry you might not want to watch Triple D. Guy travels around in his red Camaro searching for the best food served in Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. He's went all around the world trying all kinds of food and arguably has one of the best jobs on the Food Network.
3.Cutthroat Kitchen
Sorta like chopped but the competitors get to sabotage each other. Each chef gets $25,000 to begin with and can spend it how they want. During each round host Alton Brown auctions of the sabotages to the Chefs and they have the option to buy or be sabotaged. Each chef has to have a strategy because the winner gets to keep whatever is left of there $25,000 when it's all over.
4. Guy's Grocery Game
Another show hosted by Guy Fieri it's a cooking competition with four competitors. The thing that makes this show different from Chopped and Cutthroat Kitchen is that is held in a grocery store. Each round Guy explains the game to the chefs and tells them what they have to cook. It starts out as a simple dish but their is always a catch to it. The chefs may have to prepare their meal for the judges using a limited amount of ingredients or only the odd numbered aisles.
5.Beat Bobby Flay
Bobby Flay is one of the most well known faces on the Food Network and the guy that everyone wants to beat. Bobby picks a ingredient for two chefs to make to see who's the better of the two before they face off against him. Whoever wins gets the opportunity to face-off with Bob and gets to decide what type of dish they're making.
