We all are very proud to be Americans, and we have every right to be! The United States of America is truly the best country in the world, and it's also the most beautiful. From the Rocky Mountains, to the Florida Gulf, to the coasts of Alaska and Hawaii, America is the most eclectic, diverse, and majestic country there is.
Here are five reasons why you should really be celebrating this Fourth of July:
1. Freedom
Of course, the best reason to be an American is that we are all free! Free to voice our opinions, live how we want, and be who we want to be. There is no greater gift than the gift of freedom and a voice in a democracy. Every U.S. citizen matters. That's surely something to twerk about.
2. We're A Melting Pot
One of the most beautiful things about America is its diversity. In the U.S., you will meet someone from every culture, heritage, and corner of the world. This develops into a well-rounded country with opportunities for every person and delicious food from all over the globe.
3. Opportunity
The USA is known for its endless opportunities. No matter if you were born here or not, every single citizen can be provided the resources needed to make a happy life full of his or her passion. Through scholarships and programs, it makes it easier to get a degree and follow your dreams. In America, everyone can flourish.
4. Beauty
From the west coast of California, to east coast of Maine, America is definitely the most beautiful country. If you were to travel across the U.S. from one coast to the other, you would find many magical landmarks and sights along the way. If you like the cold, you can head north to the Colorado mountains. If you like warm weather, you can take a trip to Key West or Hawaii. The beauty is endless.
5. We Are Powerful, Yet Just
As a world power, we have a lot of control on how the world works. However, our country has always stayed true to being just. America is a fair country and fights for what is right, like when our troops in World War 2 defeated the Nazis but proceeded to return all of the artwork and possessions that had been taken to the countries it belonged to.That's a country to be proud of.
This Fourth of July, take a minute to truly appreciate the country we all live in. It's full of freedom, opportunity, diversity, beauty, and values. Five things that can be really hard to find, especially all embodied by one country. So raise those flags high, shoots those fireworks into the sky, and make sure you shout out a loud U-S-A!
