1. You get to see so many great sights.
If you fly, you get a pretty picture of a grid-line that everyone on your Instagram will love. If you go on a road trip, you can pull over and take pictures of things that capture you’re interest.
2. You can really get to experience other people’s culture.
This is the best part about road trips. You can stop in a small town, eat something you’ve never had before with people you’ll never see again. It allows you to understand that culture varies by region, which is essential to being a decent human being.
3. You can truly be spontaneous.
Have you ever wanted to just wander around aimlessly for hours? Have you ever wanted to pull over and stop in the cute little boutique you saw from the highway? Well, you can do all of that and more by road tripping.
4. It makes you appreciate humanity.
Sometimes, the world can make us so callous. We can get stuck doing the same things, with the same people, that we forget what kind people actually look like. Traveling allows you to understand humans on a personal level. Which is necessary every once and a while.
5. Bragging rights.
You’ll be trapped in a car for hours on end. It tests
your patients on an entirely new level. You might even bring a friend, who can
also test your patients. But to say you survived a 10 hour drive one way is
something to be applauded.
