Once upon a time, I was just a young girl with a new iPhone. Slowly I began to utilize the vast resources of the app store and found some tools that revolutionized the way I used my phone.
1. Venmo
Forgot your wallet and can't pay for those delicious fries? Venmo connects your debit or credit card to the app and makes it easy to send payments to friends. I honestly think that every single person should have Venmo because it is so incredibly convenient. Tell your mom, tell your dog, tell everyone.
2. Spotify
Spotify completely changed the way I thought about music. I was always a Pandora girl, but it seemed like all the cool people totally knew how to navigate Spotify. I gave it a shot last summer and I've never gone back. Spotify has endless music options and pre-made playlists to match your every mood. Plus you can get Spotify premium for only $5 a month if you register your student email.
3. Timehop
Want to relive those beautiful middle school Facebook posts? See just how much you've changed since age 14? Timehop is the perfect app for you. This app updates you every day and shows you exactly what you posted on social media up to ten years prior. If you ever want or need #tbt pictures, download Timehop now.
4. Plant Nanny
Plant Nanny is super dope and helps you drink enough water each day. Every few hours Plant Nanny will alert you that your "plant" (which you can customize through the app) is dehydrated and in need of a drink. Even if you don't actually drink water when it tells you to, this app is 100 percent adorable.
5. Whitagram
If you struggle with making sure that your Instagram posts fit within the specific size regulations, Whitagram can help. This godsend magically takes your pictures and gives them a white background that fits perfectly on Instagram. Stack up enough Whitagram pictures and your Insta feed will look incredibly clean and polished.
