Finals week is a crucial time for every college student. It's a time of stress, sleep deprivation, and tears. There's so much to do during finals week and not enough time to do it all. From staying up until 2 a.m. to last minute cram sessions and everything in between, who would have thought that the show "New Girl" could portray finals week so well.

1. When your parents ask how finals are going.

We all know the stress of finals, but having your parents ask how they're going is a whole new level of worry, especially if you didn't do too hot on an exam.

2. Pulling an all-nighter to finish a paper that's due the next day.

College wouldn't be college unless you have stayed up until 2 a.m. writing a paper or two. While you probably b.s.'ed your way through the entire thing, at least you turned it in.

3. Last minute cram sessions.

Cramming all the info in the night before, or even the morning of, seems like a good idea at the time, but you soon realize how awful it actually is.

4. Trying to find the time to study for all your finals.

With so many classes, it seems near to impossible to study for each class. Especially enough to make a decent grade.

5. Binge drinking tea and coffee to stay awake.

During finals week you live, breath, eat and sleep coffee and tea. They become the only thing that is keeping you going.

6. All you want to do is nap and watch Netflix but can't.

The sound of napping and Netflix sounds heavenly, even more during finals week. While you want to give into this urge so bad, you realize how bad of an idea it will be.

7. When you're trying to study, but people in your hall are being loud.

There's nothing worse than trying to study and having your neighbors or even people down the hall being loud. You're already moody from the stress, and this is the tipping point.

8. Trying to get extra credit feels more like...

With not enough time to thoroughly study for each class, you will do almost anything to boost your grade before taking that final.

9. Pretending everything is fine and you're not a wreck.

During finals week, you're hungry, tired, moody and trying to not break under the pressure. You think that if you just don't think about it and hold everything in until finals are done then you'll be OK.

10. That feeling you have the entire week.

You are literally freaking out the entire week — from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep, you will be freaking out 24/7.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
